LAFFERTY - Hugh "Dennis"

July 2, 2024 of Hamburg, NY. Beloved husband of Mariclare (Przepasniak) Lafferty; dear father of Thomas Lafferty and Ashlee Lafferty.  Friends may call Sunday July 7, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Latimore Schiavone Funeral Home, Inc. Angola, NY. Where prayers will be said Monday at 9:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis of Assisi Hamburg, NY at 10:00 AM.

After graduation from Frontier Central Schools in 1967, Dennis went on to work at Bethlehem Steel, was the Captain of security at Mueller Security systems, and eventually retired from ECMC. Hugh was an Altar boy of St Francis of Assisi and laid the cornerstone of the church as a child. He loved music and went on to sing, play keyboards, and entertain crowds of all ages and sizes in numerous local bands (Sheridan & Transit, Dallas Alice, Gunslinger) from the 1980's through the early 2000's. He loved watching movies and enjoyed talking on his CB radio where he was known by his handle, call number, & nickname "Padre, 1141; The Grouch on the Couch". Dennis was a devout family man and loving father who enjoyed the company of his friends and loved his dogs (Sandy & Sheera).
