ALBERTS - Samuel M. “Sammy” March 12, 1952 - February 09, 2019. Son of the late Theresa (Basile) and Donald J. Alberts. Brother of Loretta Cooper, Diana Erick, Madalyn (Pat Draper), Larry (Kathy), John, Richard, David (Teresa), Michael, Tommy and the late Donald S. Alberts; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Sammy is remembered by his family and friends as a loyal and compassionate man, who always enjoyed life to the fullest. As a local high school wrestling standout, he earned a full athletic scholarship to Miami Dade College and later went on to play an integral role in establishing the Mickey Rats brand, in both the Buffalo and South Florida regions. Friends and family may visit the Latimore Schiavone Funeral Home (8434 N. Main St., Angola, NY 14006) on Friday from 3-8 PM. A mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM at Most Precious Blood Church (22 Prospect St., Angola, NY 14006). Please assemble at the church.
